Our pick-up schedules for recycling, organics, and garbage are getting a little shuffle for the week of December 22.
Your New Pick-Up Dates:
North Zone - Recycling/Organics - Tuesday, Dec. 24 South Zone - Recycling/Organics - Thursday, Dec. 26 North Zone - Garbage - Friday, Dec. 27
This change is just for the holidays. We'll be back to our regular schedule the following week.

On Thursday evening, November 28, 2024, the CPKC HOLIDAY TRAIN rolls into Perth! This festive locomotive is promoting good cheer and great music as they cross Canada and the United States on their yearly trip to help support Food Banks everywhere!...
On Thursday evening, November 28, 2024, the CPKC HOLIDAY TRAIN rolls into Perth! This festive locomotive is promoting good cheer and great music as they cross Canada and the United States on their yearly trip to help support Food Banks everywhere! Members of The Table Community Food Centre will be on hand to accept your cash and non-perishable food donations. The Train is expected to arrive at the Wilson Street Railway Crossing at approximately 7:40 p.m., with the entertainment starting at 8 p.m.
Several things to note before you arrive:
the show can be seen from BOTH SIDES of the tracks
Wilson Street will be closed between Sunset Blvd. and Highway 7 at 7 p.m. SHARP. Once road is closed, pedestrians WILL NOT be permitted to cross the tracks.
Please park at Perth Mews, side streets (where permitted), municipal lots, or walk to the location.
LIMITED accessible parking available in both Foodsmiths lot and Beer Store lot (only accessible from Sunset Blvd).First-come first-served basis, MUST have a valid accessible parking permit to park.
there are NO WASHROOMS on site.
the train can NOT be seen from any other crossing in Town; the train will return to Smiths Falls at the end of the show. It may be possible to see the train from Highway #43 as it arrives in Town.
this event is completely outside and requires walking in to the site. Please come dressed for the weather. The timings provided are estimates only from CPKC Rail.
